Additional Info

This initiative is called the Sueño Scholarship, because "sueño" means “dream”—in this case, the dream of a college education. We realize how expensive higher education is for both parents and students. Therefore, many individuals, local businesses, and non-profit organizations have joined us to bring the benefits of higher education to future generations of Hispanic students. We hope you will join them in supporting this worthy cause.

This endowment will generate income to be given to students in the form of scholarships, but the principal will never be used. The number and amount of these scholarships is decided by the scholarship committee. Special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations, with preference to Hispanic students, but the scholarship is open to students of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The average scholarship ranges from $750 - $1,000 per student.

Thank you for your generous support!

Your giving matters

Receiving this scholarship really helped me focus on school and finish strong. As a first-generation college student, navigating through college was tough; and considering that I received no financial help from my family, this scholarship really lightened the financial burden and stress that weighed on me so often. Thank you for this opportunity and your willingness to help me achieve my goals.
