The 100 Voices of Hope Fund is a source of research funding and community inspiration for the breast cancer research team at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center within the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research. Funds raised through this unique program go directly toward an innovative and high-risk “research hunch” focused on breast cancer metastasis. 24 projects have each received $100,000 in gifted funding since 2008.

Kokomo Experience and You

The Kokomo Experience and You (KEY) program is designed as a four-year experiential learning program designed to help students get the most out of their abilities. Based on outcomes that employers and educators value, the KEY emphasizes real learning and connections. Students apply and integrate knowledge, collaborate with others, take initiative, and develop a mindset for success. Depending on the student's major, they may participate by designing a social media campaign for a local non-profit, view historical, business, or care sites across Europe, present research at a professional conference. or engage in another form of hands-on learning. The KEY is integrated into degree programs allowing students the opportunity to participate in the program and graduate on time, gaining skills employers value and learning how to make positive contributions everywhere they go.

A current need of the KEY program is to increase funding to be used for three international trips that are scheduled to take place between May-June 2023 (pending health and safety concerns) to help lower the overall cost to students to participate. International travel has been transformative for our students but financial concerns can limit those that are able to participate.

Not everyone can cycle long distances – but everyone can be part of the Miles for Myeloma team.

Rock for Riley

Rock for Riley is a medical student interest group that raises funds every year for Riley Hospital for Children. We initially raise funds in a budgetary account, which allows us to host events like a 5K and a concert, in order to raise money for Riley. The money raised in this account is used to pay for amazing events that raise more money for Riley than is used to pay for the event.
