Janet Gilroy (1959-2017) is remembered as a loving wife and mother, a loyal friend, and a caring academic advisor and mentor to countless IU South Bend students. Gilroy worked as an Assistant Dean for Student Success in the Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences for over 16 years. During that time, no students were ever turned away from her office, wherein they found a passionate advocate, wise counsel, and a loving motherly figure in Gilroy.
