Additional Info

Social Work is a profession devoted to helping people function at their best in their environment. Yet at a time of growing need in the field of social work, student loan debt and low wages may be a deterrent for students and their parents when considering social work as a major. This comes when overall employment of social workers is projected to grow 12 percent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average growth for all occupations, and social work job prospects are noted to be "very good, particularly for clinical social workers," according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook.

Faculty at IUSSW Bloomington have worked strategically to create a scholarship that provides much-needed financial support so students considering the field of social work can pursue their dreams. Your gift to this fund helps make that possible for undergraduate and graduate students at IU Bloomington.
