Gifts to this fund support partial scholarships offered to individuals associated with non-profits to attend training programs offered by The Fund Raising School—the professional development arm of the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Designed to help individuals who would otherwise be unable to participate, the scholarship covers half of the tuition for individuals working in nonprofits with operating budgets of $1 million or less.

This scholarship honors the late Dottie Rosso and her husband, Hank Rosso, LLD'02, both of whom played a significant role in founding The Fund Raising School. After Hank’s passing, Dottie’s encouragement and support was instrumental in continuing his legacy and advancing the study of philanthropy and fundraising.

To date, more than 500 Dottie Rosso Scholarships have been awarded, helping nonprofit professionals gain the skills and knowledge needed to improve their organizations.

Please note, the name and purpose of the fund displayed on this page constitute the authorized description of the fund by the Indiana University Foundation, Inc. Your gift supports the fund as described herein.

In July 2024, IUPUI will become Indiana University Indianapolis and will no longer be affiliated with Purdue University. The Indiana University Foundation, Inc. will update all fund titles and fund descriptions for IUPUI funds to reflect this change, and funds intended for Purdue’s School of Engineering and Technology will be transferred to Purdue under the agreement between IU and Purdue. Until July 2024, gifts to this fund will continue to be administered by the Indiana University Foundation, Inc., on behalf of IUPUI.
