Additional Info
Founded in 1948, the Department of Neurology at IU School of Medicine has been recognized as a model among US medical schools for encouraging interest in the field of neurology, with one of the highest percentages of students choosing this specialty. The department's roster of faculty includes nationally and internationally recognized experts.
The department is home to the nation’s most comprehensive, multi-center study of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. There are innovative investigations in a wide array of therapeutic areas, including a long-standing, federally funded alcohol research center. The department also supports cutting-edge stroke, neuromuscular, and movement disorder research.
Your gifts support the work of the department and advance our understanding and treatment of neurologic diseases while also preparing the next generation of neurology physicians and scientists. Thank you so much!
