The Blough-Blackwell Little 500 Rider Scholarships fund provides financial support to IU Bloomington students who ride in the annual Little 500 race. Income from gifts will support two scholarships for Little 500 riders: The F. McKinley Blough Scholarship is awarded to one male rider, and the Nancy Blough Blackwell Scholarship is awarded to one female rider.

Your support of this endowed scholarship fund will enable students focus on academics and training, so that they can reach their potential in the classroom and on the track. Moreover, your support will reward their tireless commitment to excellence.

Billed as “The World’s Greatest College Weekend” and organized by the IU Student Foundation, the Little 500 is the largest collegiate bike race in the United States. Modeled after the Indianapolis 500, riders compete in four-person teams around a quarter-mile cinder track at Bill Armstrong Stadium on the IU Bloomington campus in front of more than 25,000 fans.
