Additional Info

A reporter works in a newsroom.

For many years, people turned to their daily newspaper to help them stay connected to what was going on in their communities. While many newspapers have gotten significantly smaller, and some are gone altogether, public radio newsrooms, including ours, have been growing to fill the void.

Indiana Public Media's newsroom is a trustworthy, quality news source, and our journalists need your support. We are heartened by the support of our members who understand how vital local news is at this moment—and how much we’ll need it in the future.

Every day, you hear and read stories from WFIU and WTIU: information that helps you know what’s happening in our community and that helps your family navigate all that’s ahead. This coverage is possible thanks to our newsroom's dedicated team of reporters, editors, producers, engineers, and hosts. This coverage is also possible thanks to you.

Our contributing listeners provide an important share of the newsroom's funding. Your donation to the local news endowment provides strength to our news team to carry our mission forward. There is strength in real, local journalism. And that strength begins with the people who support it. Thank you!

Your giving matters

An informed public is essential for a healthy democracy. As local newspapers struggle to survive, WFIU and WTIU news programs that provide balanced coverage on a wide range of local topics become even more essential. We think of our gift to the WFIU/WTIU News Endowment Fund as an investment to help ensure the future of local news coverage.
