Additional Info

This scholarship prize is in honor of J. Michael Dunn, who joined the philosophy department at Indiana University in 1969, where he remained until his retirement in 2007 as the Oscar R. Ewing Professor of Philosophy. He was a huge influence on the development of the department and its ascent during the 1990s to national and international prominence in the field of logic. He was also the founding dean of the School of Informatics at IU in 2000 (now the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering).

Thank you for honoring Professor Dunn and supporting our outstanding students in the Department of Philosophy!
