Additional Info

Since its creation in 2000, the HIEP has provided thousands of IU students with funding for international experiences through the HIEP Grant. In addition to awarding hundreds of study-abroad scholarships every year, the HIEP educates students right here in Bloomington, helping them identify appropriate study-abroad programs and plan for their international adventures.

The HIEP also supports seminar-format study-abroad courses that are designed and delivered by full-time members of the IUB faculty. Since 2016, our faculty-led courses have gone to Costa Rica, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Ireland, and Ghana. New courses currently under development will allow students to earn Honors credit while learning about and in New Zealand, Japan, Italy, central Asia, and Mexico.

In all these ways, your generous gift helps shape tomorrow's global leaders today. Thank you for your support!

Your giving matters

Support from the HIEP afforded our children, Mary Grace and William, the opportunity to experience firsthand how businesses operate in another country, as well as develop their independence while navigating a new culture. We're glad to contribute to the HIEP, so that others have the chance to do the same.
