Those of us in the Department of History are extraordinarily grateful for gifts to this fund, which flexibly supports various needs. Donations to the General Fund can be used for previously unbudgeted and one-time department expenses, as well as standard expenses not covered by the regular budget.

For instance, gifts could be used to cover vital needs such as: additional scholarship funding for students; faculty travel to conferences and archives; scholarly workshops and speaker series; career workshops for graduate students; and much more.
