Your support benefits the School of Education’s award-winning Global Gateway for Teachers Program, which allows students to immerse themselves in other cultures while gaining real-world teaching experience. Participants return home with a better understanding of their host country through the relationships built with students, teachers, and members of the community. Students also gain a new perspective on their own teaching practices in the United States and a broader worldview—which is greatly needed in our classrooms today.

Thank you for your support of this important experience for our future teachers and leaders!

Ruth Yezerets

Thank you so much for helping make this special opportunity a reality for me. In this world where it feels like there is never quite enough love for or understanding of others, I feel the weight of my task in helping young people become members of an ever-changing global community. I truly believe that this chance to teach in a different cultural context is just one of my first steps in enriching my own perspective of the world so that I can do the same for my students in the future, empowering them as I empower myself.
