The objective of Kelley’s Center for the Business of Life Sciences is to bring together students, faculty, and external partners to advance the business of life sciences. Through its collaborative endeavors, the CBLS facilitates the following:

  • Attracting and developing top students interested in life sciences careers to become future industry leaders
  • Supporting research on critical industry challenges and inquiries
  • Providing a platform for companies and corporate partners to interact with industry-focused students
  • Creating networking opportunities for students, faculty, companies, and affiliates to strengthen Indiana's life science sector

The center's activities include:

  • Industry engagement via the Industry Advisory Board and Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration Conference Series
  • Educational programs for IU undergraduate and graduate students, Kelley MBA students, and executive education
  • Awarding research grants to aid faculty and student projects related to the business of life sciences
