Support Emergency Needs in Kenya with AMPATH

By School of Medicine Department of Medicine

Your generous contribution ensures vital support for the people of Kenya, particularly during crises like the recent changes in U.S. Government funding. By donating, you can help sustain AMPATH's essential humanitarian efforts and continue providing critical care.

More Info

Your donation to the IU School of Medicine's AMPATH Emergency Response Fund offers crucial humanitarian aid during this crisis and for future emergencies. In Kenya, for instance:

  • $69 can provide a vulnerable child with a year of schooling.
  • $231 can support a staff member who has lost their livelihood overnight.
  • $1,062 can cover a nurse’s monthly salary to ensure ongoing patient care.

The AMPATH Emergency Response Fund can help to bridge the gap left by U.S. Government funding changes and transition to HIV care into sustainable, government-led primary care systems in Kenya.

Over 127,000 people living with HIV depend on AMPATH (Academic Model Providing Access to Health) for survival, along with 80,000 orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV who receive essential support services.

The future of AMPATH's HIV services remains highly uncertain and your donation can help the IU School of Medicine sustain the program and services for years to come.
