WIUX is Indiana University's largest student media organization, specializing in radio broadcasting and web content. The Board of Directors, on-air staff, and organizational committees consist entirely of students. WIUX's two radio stations, 99.1 FM WIUX-LP Bloomington and B-Side Internet Radio, are on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Student volunteers at WIUX come from a diverse range of academic majors, and any student is encouraged to apply to be a radio DJ or to serve on one or more of the many committees.

Gifts to this fund will enhance student opportunities, support costs such as needed computers and software, contribute to the IU community in many ways, and much more. Your gift supports all WIUX endeavors, including the following:
- Culture Shock: Since 1986 WIUX has come together to put on Culture Shock, a free annual music festival on IU’s campus. The festival includes local artists and artists from across the country. Past headliners include Mac Demarco, Beach House, Twin Peaks, Ty Segall and more.
- Live Sports Broadcasts: IU students cover sports from Men’s Basketball to Women’s Volleyball. Mixlr is the place where both live and archived broadcasts can be found.
- Web Content: On the WIUX website students write articles covering local news, reviewing new albums, and interviewing influential artists.
- Radio Shows and Podcasts: WIUX members are encouraged to host their own radio show on 99.1 FM WIUX-LP Bloomington and B-Side Internet Radio. Podcasts are also posted directly on the WIUX site!
- Live Events: WIUX hosts a range of events during the school year, including Battle of the Bands and Open Mic Nights, that are open to all!
WIUX events and student opportunities allow students to explore their passions in broadcasting, sports, music, and more. Our alumni go on to become some of the best in the radio business.
