You’ve Been There - Now You Can Help Them Through It
October is a time when Kelley students face some of the most intense academic pressure of the semester-midterms, finals, and the demanding case projects. It’s also a time when a small gesture of support can make a big difference.
This month, in honor of World Mental Health Day (October 10th) and IU’s Month of Giving, we invite you - parents, alumni, and friends of Kelley - to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students through a gift to the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis Student Emergency Fund. By giving, you’ll help provide urgent financial assistance to students facing unexpected hardships—challenges that could otherwise prevent them from continuing their education.
How You Can Help
Kelley students are navigating high-stress moments. You can support their well-being in two impactful ways:
Send a Message of Encouragement
- Whether you're a proud parent, Kelley alum, or someone who simply wants to uplift a student, your words can make a powerful impact. Every kind note will be shared with our Kelley students throughout the fall semester.
Support a Student in Crisis
Every gift supports Indianapolis students experiencing financial hardship, providing timely relief when it’s needed most. This may include help with essentials such as rent, groceries, medical bills, or other urgent expenses that can otherwise distract from their education and well-being.
Donation Tiers:
- $25 – Could help provide support for students experiencing food insecurity (e.g., groceries)
- $50 – Could assist with unexpected emergency repairs (technology or transportation)
- $100 – Could provide critical support for students facing housing insecurity (emergency rent relief, unexpected home repair)
Whether you choose to give, write a message, or both, your support helps remind Kelley students that their community is cheering them on.
With Sincere Gratitude to John, Our Lead Donor
We extend our heartfelt thanks to John Haskin for his generous lead gift. John is a Kelley graduate (Class '70) , McKinney School of Law alumnus (Class of '77), and serves as a dedicated member of the Kelley Indianapolis Dean’s Council. His continued investment in our students reflects the heart of the Kelley community and sets a powerful example of alumni generosity in action.
Thank you, John, for leading the way!
