Singing for Summer Salaries

By Maurer School of Law

It is time for the Public Interest Law Foundation's annual Singing for Summer Salaries!

More Info

The IU Maurer School of Law Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) is devoted to promoting legal careers in public service and ensuring that Indiana Law students feel supported and encouraged in their public interest endeavors. Most summer legal internships in public interest work are unpaid. One of the goals of Singing for Summer Salaries is to raise money for the Public Interest Law Fellowship which may be used to offer summer scholarships to students who work in unpaid public interest internships and show the Law School's commitment to public interest law.

The Singing for Summer Salaries event will take place on Thursday, March 26th at 7:00 pm at The Bluebird or join the livestream.

All are invited!

A few of the faculty decided to team up this year. Dean Anne McFadden & Professor Shana Wallace, Professor Valena Beety & Professor Jennifer Oliva, Professor Asaf Lubin & Professor Alvin Velazquez, and Professor Joseph Tomain & Surprise Guest are all in the running to sing a rendition of their favorite song. YOU get to decide who the lucky winner is by donating under their team's name. The individual with the most funds raised by the end of the event will get the honor of belting out their song!

Maurer students are also joining in on the fun. Rexton Jones & Tom Pampalone (1L Team), Kayla Cox & Kayla Behforouz (2L Team), and Mitchell Remington & Teagan Hughes (3L Team) have all prepared a song to sing. YOU get to decide which team gets the honor of singing their tune of choice by donating under their name! The team with the most funds raised will perform. We get the benefit of 2 performances—from faculty AND students! Please vote now and join us on March 26th.

Funds donated may be used to support law students in unpaid public interest positions this summer. Thank you for your support! If you have any questions or want to get more involved, please contact iupilf@iu.edu.
