Singing for Summer Salaries

By Maurer School of Law

It is time for the Public Interest Law Foundation's annual Singing for Summer Salaries!

More Info

The IU Maurer School of Law Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) is devoted to promoting legal careers in public service and ensuring that Indiana Law students feel supported and encouraged in their public interest endeavors. Most summer legal internships in public interest work are unpaid. One of the goals of Singing for Summer Salaries is to raise money for the Public Interest Law Fellowship which may be used to offer summer scholarships to students who work in unpaid public interest internships and show the Law School's commitment to public interest law.

The Singing for Summer Salaries event will take place on Friday, March 22nd from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at The Bluebird and livestreamed on Facebook and Instagram. All are invited!

Livestreaming links:

Professor Joseph Tomain, Dean Anne McFadden, Professor Jennifer Oliva, and Dean Gabriel Escobedo are all in the running to sing a rendition of their favorite song. YOU get to decide who the lucky winner is by selecting their name from the team dropdown at checkout. The individual with the most funds raised by the end of the event will get the honor of belting out their song!

Maurer students are also joining in on the fun. Kayla Behforouz (1L), Ryan Day (2L), and Stewart Stockdale (3L) have all prepared a song to sing.  YOU get to decide which student gets the honor of singing their tune of choice by selecting their name from the team dropdown at checkout!  The student with the most funds raised will perform.  We get the benefit of 2 performances….a faculty member AND a student competitor!  Please vote now and join us on March 22nd.

Funds donated may be used to support law students in unpaid public interest positions this summer. Thank you for your support! If you have any questions or want to get more involved, please contact iupilf@indiana.edu.
