For IU Day, IUSD and Kids Club are raising funds for the Dental Services for Children Fund. This fund provides financial assistance for children whose families may not be in a position to afford necessary dental treatment. Through this support, children are able to receive essential dental care in a setting designed specifically for their needs.

Kids Club is a student-led organization at the Indiana University School of Dentistry dedicated to promoting oral health education and expanding access to dental care for children in our community. Our mission is simple but meaningful: to teach kids the importance of dental health early on, while ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of a child receiving the care they need.

A major focus of Kids Club is supporting the Dental Services for Children Fund, which provides support for the IUSD predoctoral pediatric clinic. This fund provides financial assistance for children whose families may not be in a position to afford necessary dental treatment. Through this support, children are able to receive essential dental care in a setting designed specifically for their needs.

In addition to fundraising, Kids Club places a strong emphasis on direct community outreach. One of our most impactful events is our annual Give Kids a Smile day. During this event, children from the community receive free dental exams, X-rays, and sealants, all provided by dental students and faculty volunteers. This day reflects the heart of our organization by creating a positive, welcoming dental experience while addressing real needs within our community.

Support for the Dental Services for Children Fund directly impacts the lives of children who might otherwise go without care. Donations help ensure that every child who walks into the IUSD pediatric clinic has the opportunity to receive high-quality dental treatment, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
