Established in 2000, the IU Latino Alumni Association supports the activities of IU's culture centers, engages our alumni community, and advances the interests of all alumni—including those from the Latino community.
Coming from a family of 14 children—I was number eight—I was the first in my family to go to college. I remember the many times I struggled because of the lack of aid my parents were able to contribute. It was because of special scholarships like the Latino Alumni Association scholarship that I was able to stay at IU, my second home. We all must give back, because we all stood on the shoulders of someone else when we were at IU.
