Latino Philanthropy Circle Initiatives Fund

Additional Info

Latino college students are more likely than other groups to be first-generation students, and they’re less likely to leave college with a degree. And while Latinos are the most participating group in the US workforce, by percentage of their population, they are overrepresented in lower-paying jobs.
The Latino Philanthropy Circle brings together donors who are passionate about uplifting all students, including those from Latino communities, so that we can have a greater collective impact across IU and the many communities impacted by IU.
Your gift can help fund priorities including, but not limited to:
- Helping IU students, including Latino students, earn their degrees and feel a sense of belonging through scholarships and a variety of supportive programming
- Celebrating traditions through cultural experiences and events
- Educating, inspiring, and engaging our communities by bringing in speakers, ambassadors, and more
With your support, we can do so much more to improve recruitment, retention, and opportunity for the multifaceted communities we serve.
Let’s help close the gap between aspiration and achievement. Let’s serve our communities right where they are. Our united investment in the IU family is a powerful force for good. Please make a gift today!
Your giving matters
As a proud Latina alumna of IU, I am honored to join the Latino Philanthropy Circle as a founder. This initiative empowers us to invest in the university that has nurtured my success and ensure that current and future IU students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds have expanded access to even more opportunities than I had.
