Additional Info

Dr. Ellen Ketterson was one of the founding members of CISAB and its first co-director, a position she shared with founding member Dr. Bill Timberlake. To commemorate her January 2026 retirement and recognize her critical contributions to the program, the center has established the CISAB Founders Fellowship, which provides support to graduate student members of CISAB who are studying animal behavior.

This fellowship will honor not just Ellen’s longstanding commitment to CISAB, but also the important work of Bill and fellow founding members Jeff Alberts, Joe Farley, Drew King, Val Nolan, John Phillips, Bill Rowland, Dale Sengelaub, Sam Skinner, Joe Steinmetz, Rod Suthers, and Meredith West. Thank you for your generous support!
