Together, we have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through Pride-Filled Giving. Please review the information below for details on participating in the giving process.

Listed below are all qualified grants for AAPP (ALMA, Angel, Pride-Filled, and Passion) giving, including finalists with a gap between recommended funding and the total amount requested. Each project includes a summary and, where applicable, a scalable funding amount. Projects presenting live have been marked with an asterisk.

#37 IUI - Civic Reflection Dialogue IUI Campus Initiative

Student Success

  • The CRD Campus Initiative pilot will help build a sustainable campus dialogue program that equips students, faculty, and staff to lead meaningful conversations around civic engagement and shared understanding. Grant funding will support facilitator training, mentoring, and student-led dialogue sessions that strengthen leadership development, foster connection across campus communities, and create long-term capacity for constructive civic discourse.
  • $3,206 per Civic Reflection Dialogue trainer

#18 IUB - Speaking of Excellence 2026-27

Community Impact

  • The LGBTQ+ Culture Center and Union Board Lectures Committee are collaborating to bring impactful speakers and educational programming to IU Bloomington that highlight LGBTQ+ voices, experiences, and achievements across a range of fields and identities. Through free and accessible campus events, the series will foster belonging, encourage meaningful dialogue, and strengthen understanding and support for LGBTQ+ communities.

#7 IUB - Perinatal Mental Health Initiative*

Health

  • This second year of funding will support the expansion of the Perinatal Mental Health Initiative’s research and community-based services, including continued therapist- and peer-led support groups for pregnant and postpartum individuals at risk for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The grant will also help evaluate and grow Tandem’s Black Parent Support Group while supporting the data collection and outcome analysis needed to measure impact and improve maternal and infant health outcomes.

#6 IUB - Black Music Month Film Festival

Arts & Culture

  • The Black Music Month Film Festival will bring campus and community members together through a month-long celebration of the artistic and cultural impact of Black musicians, performers, and storytellers. Through film screenings, live performances, exhibits, and community events, the festival will create engaging cultural experiences that highlight Black creativity, foster connection, and celebrate the rich intersections of music, identity, and history.

#46 IUSB - Bridging Literacy: A Community-Based Reading Support  

Community Impact

  • This project addresses critically low middle-grade literacy by providing curriculum-aligned tutoring to 60 sixth- and seventh-grade students, reinforcing classroom instruction through close collaboration with teachers. Delivered by trained college student tutors, the program boosts reading outcomes while equipping future educators with valuable, hands-on experience.
  • $1,100 per student tutor

#3 IUB - BSU Crown & Class

Student Success

  • Crown & Class reimagines the traditional student pageant experience by combining cultural celebration with professional development, leadership growth, and career readiness opportunities for IU students. Through etiquette training, networking experiences, and industry-sponsored recognition awards, the program helps students build confidence, strengthen professional skills, and create meaningful connections with employers and community leaders.

#38 IUB - Experiential Learning Course Redesign Fellowship

Student Success

  • The College of Arts and Sciences is expanding experiential learning opportunities that connect classroom learning with hands-on, career-focused experiences for undergraduate students. Through faculty course redesigns, symposiums, and applied learning opportunities, this initiative will strengthen workforce readiness, deepen student engagement, and enhance the value of a liberal arts and sciences education.
  • $1,000 per faculty participant

#34 IUB - For the Love of Black Art

Arts & Culture

  • For the Love of Black Art is an expanding cross-campus initiative that celebrates the creativity, cultural impact, and artistic contributions of Black artists through exhibitions, performances, tours, and community programming. By deepening campus and community partnerships and creating new opportunities for dialogue and visibility, the project fosters meaningful engagement with Black art, history, and creative expression while amplifying underrepresented voices.

#8 IUB - Indiana University Dance Marathon Event 2026

Community Impact

  • IUDM’s 36-hour, student-led event brings together students, families, and healthcare partners in support of pediatric healthcare and research while creating meaningful opportunities for leadership, service, and philanthropy. Grant funding helps sustain the event’s essential operations and infrastructure, ensuring students can continue delivering a high-quality experience that strengthens community impact and supports Riley Children’s Hospital families.

#52 IUB - IU Auditorium University-wide Dance Residency

Arts & Culture

  • This statewide residency of Ballet Hispánico will connect more than 4,000 students, educators, and community members with internationally acclaimed dance artists through performances, masterclasses, and cross-cultural learning experiences. Grant funding will help remove barriers to participation by supporting free programming, student access to performances, and travel opportunities for regional campus students, while also creating a model for future arts engagement initiatives across Indiana University and the broader community.

#40 IUB - Jacobs Virtual Academy in Indiana

Arts & Culture

  • Indiana University’s Jacobs Virtual Academy expands access to high-quality music education for students in underserved and rural communities while preparing IU music students to become skilled, culturally responsive Teaching Artists. Through innovative hybrid music lessons and community partnerships, the program creates meaningful educational opportunities that inspire young musicians and strengthen arts access across Indiana.
  • $843 per IU student working as a Teaching Artist or language interpreter

#54 IUB - Observing Civic Engagement: Women in Leadership

Research

  • This project explores how leadership is practiced and represented within community and civic organizations, with a focus on understanding women’s leadership roles across diverse settings. Through innovative real-time research and hands-on student involvement, the initiative advances knowledge of civic engagement while helping research assistants develop valuable leadership and analytical skills of their own.
  • $4,416 per undergraduate student research assistant

#14 IUI - Path to Achievement, Thriving & Holistic Support

Student Success

  • PATHS strengthens student belonging and long-term success in the IU School of Liberal Arts through a structured peer mentoring program that supports first-year and transfer students as they navigate academic and personal transitions. By integrating mentoring with career readiness resources and alumni engagement, the program helps students build confidence, develop transferable professional skills, and better connect their liberal arts education to future career opportunities.
  • $591 per student served

#56 IUE - Private well water quality in East-central IN

Research

  • This project addresses growing concerns about drinking water safety for rural Indiana households that rely on private wells, where biological contamination often goes undetected and unmonitored. By identifying harmful bacteria, contamination sources, and environmental risk factors, the research will help develop accessible, low-cost strategies that empower residents to better protect their water quality and health.
  • $1,700 per undergraduate student research assistant

#12 IUB - The Flying Ace Centennial Celebration

Arts & Culture

  • The Black Film Center & Archive plans to commemorate the 100th anniversary of The Flying Ace, a groundbreaking early film featuring an all-Black cast that challenged segregation in the film industry and inspired generations of Black aviators and storytellers. Through screenings at the IU Cinema, scholarly discussions, and collaborative public programming, the initiative will preserve and share an important piece of cultural and cinematic history while connecting students, researchers, and community audiences to the legacy of Black independent filmmaking.  

#49 IUN - The RedHawks Career Launch Program

Student Success 

  • The Redhawks Career Launch Program equips IU Northwest students with the professional skills, confidence, and career preparation needed to successfully transition from college to the workforce. Building on promising outcomes from its pilot cohort, the initiative provides structured career readiness experiences that help students strengthen communication, professionalism, networking skills, and access to internships and career opportunities.
  • $1,150 per student

#15 IUI - University Library Legacy Land Wall Exhibit

Community Impact

  • The University Library is creating a permanent historical exhibit that preserves and shares the stories of the vibrant neighborhoods and communities that existed before the development of the IUPUI/IUI campus. Through archival photographs, oral histories, artwork, and historical materials, the exhibit will provide a meaningful space for reflection, education, and community connection while ensuring these important local histories remain visible for future generations.

#26 IUI - Celebration of Black Graduates/Black Excellence*

Student Success

  • The annual Celebration of Black Graduates/Excellence honors the achievements, leadership, and resilience of IU Indianapolis students in a meaningful and culturally grounded celebration of academic success. Grant funding will support student recognition materials, regalia, and event logistics that foster belonging, strengthen community connections, and celebrate the accomplishments of graduating students and future alumni.
  • $70 per student

#57 IUB - INSPIRE ME TWO: 50th Anniversary Recording Project*

Arts & Culture

  • INSPIRE ME TWO commemorates the 50th anniversary of the African American Choral Ensemble through a professionally produced recording that celebrates the ensemble’s enduring legacy of cultural expression, healing, and inspiration. Featuring original works by IU students and Dr. Raymond Wise, the project provides transformative experiential learning opportunities in music performance and production while preserving and amplifying artistic traditions that continue to impact communities across generations.

#47 IUI - Student Outreach Eye Clinic*

Health

  • The OSIG Student Outreach Clinic provides free eye screenings to medically underserved and underinsured communities across Indiana while creating meaningful hands-on learning experiences for medical students. Through direct patient care, students build clinical skills and deepen their understanding of healthcare access challenges and the impact of social determinants of health on vision care outcomes.
