The Great 8 Scholarship was established after eight African American women emerged as successful graduates of the doctoral program in the IU School of Education at IUPUI. This accomplishment was unprecedented at the time. The women used the momentum of their success to create a scholarship that would support other women of color aspiring to careers in the academy.

The Great 8 Scholarship is intended to support graduate students who have been accepted into the doctoral program at the IU School of Education at IUPUI. Your gifts will support scholarships for full-time PhD candidates who are in good academic standing.
