Additional Info
Testicular cancer is highly curable, but the journey can be fraught with challenges, uncertainties, and complexities. The Testis Cancer Support Fund at IU ensures patients receive comprehensive care, supports innovative research, and enhances educational initiatives for health care professionals treating this disease.
The school’s Testicular Cancer Program has been recognized around the world and handles hundreds of cases each year. IU also performs more than 10,000 retroperitoneal lymph node dissections annually. Our multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists, collaborates to deliver patient-centered and state-of-the-art care.
Gifts to the Testis Cancer Support Fund can help expand pioneering research, including groundbreaking studies such as the world's first mapping of seminoma metastases and the exploration of new biomarkers, such as circulating tumor DNA. These advancements significantly improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
Additionally, the fund can bolster clinical trials that advance promising treatments, such as novel therapeutic agents for patients resistant to standard platinum-based therapies. Your generosity can support these types of cutting-edge research that helps IU uncover new methods to treat and manage testicular cancer.
Your gift can also help educate and train the next generation of healthcare professionals specializing in testicular cancer, ensuring continued leadership and excellence in patient care and outcomes.
