Additional Info

Glaucoma slowly damages the optic nerve and causes permanent vision loss for millions of people around the world. At Indiana University School of Medicine, doctors and scientists are working hard to stop glaucoma and protect sight.

Through IU's glaucoma research program, teams in eye science, brain research, and medicine are working together to find better ways to diagnose glaucoma early and prevent blindness. Your gift to this fund helps researchers learn more about how glaucoma starts and how to stop it—including ways to protect and repair eye cells, control eye pressure, and develop new treatments that could save vision. Gifts also support the training of medical students and young ophthalmologists who will continue this vital work.

Your support of this fund helps the Department of Ophthalmology discover new treatments, educate future eye doctors, and bring hope to people with glaucoma. Together, we can protect the gift of sight.
