Operating in partnership with Matthew 25 Health and Care and its accompanying dental clinic, the IU School of Medicine–Fort Wayne Student Outreach clinic is dedicated to providing essential health care services to underserved communities in Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas. The clinic offers medical students invaluable, hands-on experience with patients while addressing critical health care needs in the community.
Founded to improve access to primary and specialty care, the clinic offers a variety of services, including:
- Primary medical care
- Dental services
- Vision care
- Pharmacy services
- Social services
All services are provided under the supervision of licensed professionals and are offered to patients at no cost. The clinic operates during evening hours, expanding access to medical care for individuals who have difficulty accessing services during standard work hours. This initiative is part of a broader commitment by the IU School of Medicine to improve the availability and quality of health services in underserved populations.
