Among other vital efforts, gifts to this fund can support events and offerings that center the IU Indianapolis University Library in the life of our students and campus, enabling us to build bridges with partners across Indianapolis, Central Indiana, and the state. These initiatives promote information access across many wide-ranging communities and preserve the stories of our shared history.

Unique offerings at University Library include:

  • An online creative writing workshop
  • A presentation highlighting our digital collections, such as Indianapolis’ own Jungclaus-Campbell, a prominent general contractor for numerous historic local buildings
  • A panel discussion on the importance and process of preserving the culturally rich history and legacy of Indiana Avenue
  • Launch events celebrating new books by IU Indianapolis alumni

In these ways—and many more—unrestricted contributions enable us to create and promote community connections on the IU Indy campus and beyond. Thank you for your support!

Your giving matters

My experience as a student employee at University Library was my first time being engaged in the post-secondary academic world, outside of being a student. The variety of experiences I engaged with—from fundraising to presenting at board meetings to assisting in planning community events—showed me that work in the academic world has meaning outside of the classroom.
