Additional Info

IULMIA is dedicated to preserving and sharing media of purpose and practice—moving images created with specific social, educational, or cultural objectives—as well as works that explore the craft of media-making itself. Our collection of more than 130,000 items tells the story of how communities, educators, activists, and artists have created and used moving images to document, teach, inspire, and connect across generations.
IULMIA also operates the Indiana University Libraries Screening Room, a state-of-the-art projection facility offering exceptional presentation capabilities. With expert staff and specialized equipment, we believe the IULMIA Screening Room projects more 16mm film than anywhere else in the state of Indiana.
Your gift supports the ongoing care, preservation, and accessibility of these collections, ensuring that students, faculty, researchers, filmmakers, curators, and community members can continue to learn from and be inspired by them. Whether your gift helps save a single reel of decaying film or supports a major digitization initiative, you're ensuring that these irreplaceable records of our cultural heritage remain available for study, inspiration, and reuse.
We deeply appreciate your support in preserving this irreplaceable legacy for current and future generations.
