Additional Info
An unexpected illness of a student or parent; a need to quickly move apartments; an unplanned bill—all of these create a need for financial resources. Without access to funds to cover these expenses, these situations can jeopardize a student’s success.
At the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, we care about our students, and that means offering support beyond the classroom. In 2013, we established our school's student emergency fund. Supported by faculty, students, alumni, and friends, the account allows us to offer financial support to help Luddy School students through unforeseen circumstances.
Recipients of this student emergency fund know that their school supports them and wants to see them succeed. Will you help us offer support to our students when emergencies happen?
Your giving matters
I am an international graduate student and have no relatives living nearby. [This fund] helped me during a difficult time amidst a worsening pandemic, so I am certainly grateful to the donors for their kind support. I would not have been able to find a safe place if it hadn't been for the financial help that I received.
