One of the special programs of the Office of Student & Community Engagement Programming is The Steel City Knowledge Bowl.

We are excited to announce that the Third Annual Steel City Knowledge Bowl will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026. This academic competition brings together student teams from Northwest Indiana high schools to showcase their knowledge of American history, life, and culture. More than a competition, the Knowledge Bowl introduces students to a college campus, sparks curiosity, and builds a powerful sense of belonging.

The schools participating in this year’s competition include Westside Leadership Academy, Thea Bowman Leadership Academy, Calumet New Tech High School, 21st Century Charter High School, Bishop Noll Institute, and East Chicago Central High School.
