Jacobs School of Music
The Band Centennial Fund supports bands in the Jacobs School of Music. The Department of Bands exemplifies musical leadership in the wind band field, with three music-major Concert Ensembles, an All-Campus Band, brass band and Marching Hundred. This year, the Indiana University Wind Ensemble has been selected to perform at the 2027 National Conference of the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA), one of the highest honors for collegiate wind ensembles in the United States.

This invitation reflects the extraordinary artistry of our student musicians, the excellence of the Jacobs School of Music, and the long-standing national reputation of the IU Department of Bands. The ensemble's appearance at the 2027 conference marks its first CBDNA National Conference performance since 2015, providing an important opportunity to showcase the exceptional talent and dedication of our students on a national stage.
Experiences such as the CBDNA National Conference provide students with opportunities for artistic growth, professional engagement, and national recognition that extend far beyond a single performance. By supporting the Band Centennial Fund, you help ensure that our students can represent Indiana University while carrying forward the tradition of excellence that has distinguished the Jacobs School of Music for generations. Thank you for partnering with us as we provide extraordinary opportunities like this to our students!
