Additional Info
SNRI focuses on expanding our knowledge of the brain and the central nervous system as a whole. We try to understand the diseases and injuries that disrupt the work of this system. And we pave the way to breakthroughs that preserve, protect, and restore its vital functions.
Our scientists are developing an understanding of how the developing brain's structural and functional differences affect cognition, behavior, and psychosocial outcomes. Our research is unlocking the secrets of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. We are developing approaches to treating spinal cord and brain injuries, and gaining insights into pain, addiction, and the most visible part of the nervous system: the eye.
With your crucial financial support, we can continue to pursue this important work, advance understanding, and improve countless lives in Indiana and beyond.
