Additional Info

Most cardiologists in Indiana have spent at least part of their career training under one man: Eric Williams, MD, MACC. His expertise is sought after by patients and colleagues alike, and he has been recognized multiple times as one of the best. But his impact isn't only in the clinic.

Dr. Williams has spent decades teaching aspiring cardiologists what he knows. He revamped the standards for cardiology training, ensuring that learners must be able to demonstrate concrete skills and competencies before they are able to move on. For his work in advancing cardiology education, he was recognized as a Master of the American College of Cardiology in 2014.

The Eric S. Williams, M.D. Cardiovascular Fellowship endowment will ensure that Dr. Williams’ legacy of excellence will continue at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
